Cutler Architects are Arts & Crafts specialists working with original, as well as new modern interpretations of Arts & Crafts houses designed for contemporary living, working with natural and vernacular building materials, such as local stone, slate and timber.
Practice Principal Richard Cutler is a long-standing member, and joint vice-chair of the North East Hampshire Design Review Panel, reviewing pre-application and planning applications for Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, Hart District Council, and Rushmoor District Council.
The Cutler Architects Ethos – a “whole-house” aesthetic
As a modern architecture practice, our ethos doesn’t stop at the structure and external appearance; our approach is very much a 'whole-house' aesthetic - it should fit sympathetically into its surrounding landscape, with interiors that are carefully thought through to work functionally, but also be a delight to be in and pass through.
Rather than enforcing a typical architecture “practice style" Cutler Architects tailor each client’s individual style and specific lifestyle requirements, creating spectacular designs inimitable to every project. With the aptitude to listen, see, sense and translate all elements and influences in meticulous detail, the importance of creating shared visions is embraced with passion and flair.
Cutler Architects are small enough to be personal but experienced and continually learning and changing to expand our knowledge base.
